Westwood Highlands real estate consists of a small enclave of single family homes on the southwest slope of Mount Davidson, mostly built between 1925-1929. Many of the streets in Westwood Highlands end with the word “wood”, like Hazelwood, Burlwood, Brentwood, etc., giving the area the nickname “The Woods”. The neighborhood is home to the Westwood Highlands Association, an active homeowners group and has an interesting history, which you can read about here or, in a different account, here.
